About Us

David and TaraWe’re pretty much down to earth people. We live in Colorado and have two kids—a daughter and son. They’re really the biggest reason why we’re involved with Online Marketing.

We want to leave them a legacy, have great memories and spend more time with them (maybe we can find out about your dreams one day). We really enjoy the outdoors – hiking, camping and things like that.

We never really knew how much we liked entrepreneurship until we owned a business and then experienced Corporate America.

If you are pursuing your dreams and have started your own business, I want to be the first to congratulate you on making a very smart decision.

Me and Tara

A little background about us…told by David:

January 1998

About 12 years ago, my mother and I got into business together. It was not the first interest I had, but she was my mentor; so I did not question anything. I still remember to this day, when Tara and I walked into that business, we did NOT know a thing about dry cleaning! But we had a strong desire to succeed. We immediately jumped in and learned as fast as we could. The feeling of being your own boss was great and making close to a six-figure income was not so bad either, especially when 23 years old. However, the long hours and stress were pretty overwhelming.

That was the turning point in our lives.

For the first time, we experienced what it was like to make a lot of money. But most importantly, the difference between owning a business and being an employee. I understood the concept of leverage by having employees, but I never enjoyed watching them work hard just to make a low wage. I did everything I could to make their lives better by giving raises and having parties. It wasn’t long before I had to leave that business due to a family emergency, but I never left the feeling of being an entrepreneur.

That same year, we found the direct sales industry and then network marketing. We had a very bad experience with our first opportunity. This would have made most people quit the industry all together. The CEO was actually indicted and convicted. But we were so hungry for success that we wouldn’t quit, then we ran into someone that told us about a legal services company. It made a lot of sense to us, and they had a really good reputation (actually, still to this day). We moved up pretty quick in the company until we pretty much talked to everyone we knew. We were so determined that we did whatever it took.

We did one on one’s, went to hotel meetings, talked to strangers, and called leads. For some reason, we just could not duplicate and sponsor enough people.

We were starting to think that it was NEVER going to work for us.

It seemed like everyone went door-to-door, talked to their friends and family, and did the 3-foot rule. Now, I am not saying that traditional methods do not work; they just do not work for most people. And that’s mainly because it’s a skill that takes a while to learn, but it does vary depending on the person.

We then tried calling cold leads from one of the top list brokers out there and was paying 250 dollars a month for 50 interviewed leads. After several weeks of calling, we had some results but could never duplicate enough to make my return on investment.

After a few months, we stopped spending all that money on expensive shared leads. We later tried cheaper leads. If you are considering that, DON’T. I know now that it really sucks, and you will get little results if any. People were really just looking for jobs, or they signed up for some free offer.

I threw in the towel.

After struggling for so long, we finally gave up. Yep, we were done. we spent over 15 thousand dollars over the span of two years. We made some money, but not enough to recoup what we had invested. What’s so crazy is what I know now – It was not the company’s fault. It was US. We were going through the learning curves, and it takes challenges to achieve success. Shortly after quitting, Tara was pregnant. So of course, the most logical thing for me to do (because fear got in my way), was to get a job and never look back. That was a huge mistake!

I really got tired of all the corruption that took place around me–the lay-offs, people crying because they lost their jobs, and the lying. It was really stupid. Everyone was in fear of losing their jobs. It was ridiculous. And at this time, Tara was running a child care out of our home, we were both going back to college, and living paycheck-to-paycheck, something had to give! I remember all the late nights staying up studying. For over three years we made straight A’s, but we were ABSOLUTELY MISERABLE. When you’re broke, straight A’s don’t make you feel that great.

At that point, I had about 5 more years to go in college; so I started thinking, how practical is this? Should I wait for 5 years to maybe get a better job. NO…this was the biggest lesson in my life. And if you are reading this, never listen to people who do not have the lifestyle that you want. You see, I watched many of these people that always told me to go to school and move up the ladder. The funny thing is many of them ended up laid off, and many of them are broke. Ironic, isn’t it.

I could not just let life slip away living like this – working to only be broke like most of America (less than 1 percent of retirees have money and the rest rely on someone else). Starting a home business was the only way for me to get ahead.  But…we wanted to do it a little different this time.

We knew that people were generating leads online (many of them for FREE) and making money, and we were determined to find out how to do that for ourselves.

Finally, after a lot of research, we were fortunate to learn about the concept of Attraction Marketing. Instead of trying to chase people, we could create value first, build relationships, and then people would be more willing to listen to us. The coolest part is that it can be done online and offline.

There Is A Very Good Reason Why and How It Works!

What we found out was that you CANNOT lead with your product or company in all situations.   You have to provide solutions to people’s problems, bring value, and lead with yourself.  In other words, people do not join products and companies, they join people.

People want to work with leaders who have the SOLUTIONS to their Problems.

For example, listen to what people are saying. People are unemployed, struggling to pay bills, or maybe they are tired of their job. If they are online, they want to know how it works–how to make money online, how to generate leads, and how to be recognized. We were excited when we finally started pulling in leads. And you know what, once you know how to do it, it’s all about scaling up your marketing to increase lead flow. Now we get leads consistenly – and there’s no looking back.

Just know that the solutions are out there no matter what you want to do and never give up.
